Southern Cross Electronic Security is a member of the Institute
for Drone Technology Research and Development in Robotics,
and therefore has access to the latest information and research
regarding the efficacy of drone technology within the security
industry. On this basis, we offer a carefully curated range of
drones, each selected for their unique capacity to enhance the
security of our clients’ premises.
SECURITY DRONES
Drone technology offers our clients a range of advantages over our standard security offerings, including:
- Drones can be deployed at short notice to cover wide expanses that are not always accessible on foot.
- Drones can be used in a multitude of scenarios, such as perimeter surveillance, event management, crowd control covert operations, traffic surveillance or assistance with missing persons.
- Drones are considerably cheaper and quieter to operate than helicopters, making them an ideal choice when it comes to the discrete monitoring of large events such as protests or sporting events.
- Footage can be live streamed back to our command centre, providing opportunities for real-time monitoring of your premises and increasing the safety of guards / first responders in the event of an incident. Advanced sensors (such as heat detection technology) can also perceive threats indistinguishable to the human eye.
